From the liner notes: Island Style - The first verse and chorus were written in the winter of �94 while I was living in New York City. I was feeling homesick and missing my family, especially my Mom�s cooking. When I returned to the islands I wrote the Grandma verse and the slack key guitar part. Each track is introduced by John, in his own words, in a similar manner, within the full four-panel, redesigned liner notes. Already a proven winner... yet New & Improved!
